латинское вооружение – треугольные паруса, которые пришнуровывались своей верхней шкаториной к длинному составному рейку, подымавшемуся наклонно, то есть задний угол был высоко поднят, а передний опущен почти к палубе. Это один из древнейших видов парусного вооружения, дошедший до наших дней почти без изменений.
